Strut-connected ailerons were filled on all four wings. The Sopwith Type C experimental torpedo-dropping seaplane, as evident here, was a very large aircraft, and had an engine installation of uncommon interest. The 'half-hoops' een above the Ooats were probably for springing, and not associated with the torpedo gear. 68 ,- .. ------- :::'::'-' While not corresponding precisely with the characteristics of the Type C as shown in the photograph, these drawings clearly depict a machine of the same general type, though their primary purpose was to show how the torpedo was slung.
